What data we process and why
When you apply for a position we process your name, email, phone number, the position you are applying for, your CV, cover letter and what you write in the message. We use the data to assess your application, contact you and – if you move forward – present you to the client the position concerns.
Legal basis: steps prior to a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in recruiting the right person (Article 6(1)(f)). We never send your data to a client without first checking with you.
When you contact us via the contact form, email or phone, we process your name, contact details and your message in order to reply to you.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
Please do not send sensitive data, for example about health, religion or ethnic origin, or your personal identity number in the forms.
How long we keep the data
- Applications are kept during the recruitment and deleted no later than 6 months after the recruitment has ended. If you would like us to keep your application longer for future assignments, we will ask you first.
- Messages sent via the contact form are kept while the matter is ongoing and deleted no later than 12 months afterwards.
Who has access to the data
The data is handled by us at Consult Work. We use the following suppliers (data processors) who process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) – hosts the website and receives what you send via the forms. Cloudflare also processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the website.
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365) – sends what you enter in the forms to us by email (and a confirmation to you when you apply for a position), and stores our email as well as applications and attached files in our SharePoint. If you have accepted statistics cookies, Microsoft Clarity receives information about how you use the website.
Transfers of data to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you apply for a position, your data may, after checking with you, be shared with the client the position concerns.
Cookies and third-party services
We do not use cookies for marketing. We produce visitor statistics with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and is not used to track you across websites.
If you accept statistics cookies in the box shown on your first visit, we also use Microsoft Clarity to see how the website is used – for example clicks, movements and how far pages are read – so that we can improve it. Anything you type in forms is never recorded. Clarity then sets cookies (including _clck, stored for up to one year, and _clsk, stored for one day). The legal basis is your consent, and you can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. If you choose Only necessary, Clarity is not loaded at all.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the website against attacks; it is not used to track you. Fonts and icons are hosted on our own website. Your language choice (Swedish, Norwegian or English) and your cookie choice are saved in your browser’s local storage only, so the site can remember them; they are never sent to us. The map link opens Google Maps, which has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to the processing and to receive your data (data portability). Contact us at [email protected] and we will reply within one month.
If you believe we are processing your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
